Key words: viral hepatitis C, interferonogenic retinopathy, pegilyat — interferon.

In the article is presented the case of an interferonogenic retinopathy at the patient with hepatitis C. The retinopathy develops as a result of regular use pegilyat — interferon and ribavirin combination therapy of viral hepatitis C. Clinical manifes-tations of an interferonogenic retinopathy include soft exudates, intravitreal and preretinal hemorrhages, retinal neovascularization, rubeosis, macular edema, retinal vein occlusion which is accompanied by decrease of visual acuity. In this connection patients with viral hepatitis C during therapy by interferon have to be under supervision of the ophthalmologist.
