DIAGNOSTIC AND PROGNOSTIC MEANING OF FLAT CORNEA IN MARFAN SYNDROME

The study involved 31 patients (21 men and 10 women) suffering from Marfan Syndrome (MS) and operated due to stratified ascending aneurism of aorta. All patients were divided into 4 age groups. The first patients group from 18 to 29 years, the second group — 30-44, the third — 45-59, the fourth — 60 -74 years. In each group the mean refractive corneal power was calculated. The dependence of the patient age at the time of surgery corneal refractive power, which will have diagnostic and prognostic value was established.
