THE PECULIARITIES OF EYE INJURIES BY AIRBAGS IN VEHICLES

It has been analyzed the 27 cases of eye injuries by airbags in vehicles. It has been revealed the peculiarities of this type of injuries and conditions under which they arise. Direct contusions of both eyes (92.6 %) of varying severity are typical for the eye injuries by airbags. Such damages are more likely to have the combined character of polytrauma (66.7 %) and regular connection with the specific conditions of the driver and passengers inside of the car. Passengers, that don't wear seat belt, have been injured more often (88.9 %).
