Prophylactic cryoretinopexy central to the superior sclerotomies at the end of pars plana vitrectomy for traumatic vitreous hemorrhage only in cases of high risk retinal detachment development (presence of the fibrous vitreous organization and/or impact site) allows to reduce the relative risk reduction of postoperative retinal detachment by 82 % and exclude patients with the minimum risk of retinal detachment development.
